Project scopes are the foundation of successful application development and will ensure your project will be completed on time and to budget. All bespoke applications start with a detailed project scoping session and build across a single day.
We're ready to help you
We'll have an online meeting where I gain a full understanding of what your application has to do. We'll discuss all your ideas, the inputs needed and we'll list the purpose of each sheet, table or form to be designed. We'll discover what items (or fields) make up your datasets. We'll then discuss the outputs or reports you'd like to create and what you'd like to see on them.
I'll then go away and work on what you've told me. Sometimes the work can be completed in the first day together. If it can't, then after the day of work you’ll receive a detailed document containing a summary of every part of the application including descriptions of functionality and features along with mockups of the branded designs and reports still needed. I’ll be able to tell you the timeframe to complete the work and provide you with a full cost breakdown.
The scope will keep our project on track and focused as the creative work will have already been done, I just need to get on and build anything outstanding.

On the day of our work together we'll begin with an online meeting where I'll ask you to take me through your current work process so I can understand where your data comes from, what calculations you need to perform and the output needed. You should allow at least 2 hours for this.
Afterwards I’ll start to create the design of your application and provide a first build and report. We will need to be in communication throughout the rest of the day by phone or messenger.

Choose a day from the calendar below and secure it with a 50% deposit.
Please be sure that you allow enough time to do any prep work needed before the day of our intensive e.g. for providing sample data, copy and any images that I might need. You'll need to be available for up to 2 hours at the start of our day together and then once I go off on my own, to be available for the rest of the day to provide feedback if needed.

At the end of our first day together I hope to have made good progress with your application. If it isn't already completed then you’ll receive what's been done plus a detailed document containing a summary of every part of the application including descriptions of functionality and features along with mockups of the branded designs and reports yet to be completed. Typically, most single task applications and dashboards for a small business can be built in one or two days. Cost would increase if there are complex data source connections or multiple different report layouts to create.
step three: finale

1-1 scoping meeting where go through full requirements and workflow
Application build as can be completed in one day.
Detailed document of what work may still be required with prototyping of layout and reports
Follow up meeting to discuss what's been achieved and show you how to use any workbook. Video walkthroughs as needed.
